ACT for Depression
and Anxiety

A two-day practical workshop connecting ACT formulation, clinical demonstrations and experiential practice.

09:00–16:30 SAST each day · Johannesburg or Cape Town

From formulation
to meaningful action.

Use the psychological flexibility model to consider avoidance, rumination, withdrawal and patterns that keep people stuck. Explore intervention choices through clinical examples, demonstration and practice.

  • Connect assessment and ACT formulation to intervention decisions
  • Practise defusion, acceptance, values and committed action
  • Consider anxiety-related avoidance and depression-related disengagement
  • Reflect on how to adapt the work to your own clinical setting

A focused live experience

This workshop is a separate event from the annual programme. It combines depression and anxiety across two days; it does not automatically replace the two separate 2027 courses or establish credit towards an annual pathway.

Workbooks, venue arrangements, refreshments and final completion requirements will be confirmed before bookings open.
